Already convicted kidnapper and rapist Phillip Garrido of California is being accused of more rape and kidnapping.
This time of a young child who was 11 years old, holding her captive for nearly two decades in tents in his backyard. He even fathered two children with her.
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20090828/D9ABSTLO0.htmlFrom the above article, the Associated Press quoted a neighbor who said she was definitely suspicious what was happening in the backyard where the tents were, but she did not want to say anything because her husband told her that maybe the family liked to live that way. Have you ever heard the phrase, "Don't judge."
In Ohio, this is referred to as "Failure to report a crime" 2921.22 Ohio Revised Code
My argument is that if anybody sees something suspicious, they should report it to law enforcement immediately, instead of hiding behind, "Don't judge." As corrupt and lazy as our law enforcement is in America, we should still at least make a report of it.
Investigation of this case began when the criminal Garrido was distributing religious information at a UC-Berkley campus. Evidently, investigators were suspicious about the criminal because of the way he acted around children.
According to reports, the criminal thought he had a special way to talk to a god through a box and was trying to establish a church with the help of the way he talked to a god through a box.
I believe there are other people involved in this case other than the Garridos and there were other motives than simply kidnapping a random child.
